The Bioresource Strategies division of our firm provides strategic management of biological resources as sources of invention and intellectual property. We understand the functional relation between patent law and wildlife conservation law, and are able to patent inventions from nature while achieving conservation goals.
We have provided consulting services to government agencies responsible for managing biodiversity resources, non-profit institutions that steward collections of unique animal and plant species, and companies interested in the ethical and sustainable commercialization of biodiversity.
We have developed policy frameworks and regulatory mechanisms, negotiated commercialization agreements, created entrepreneurial approaches to sustainably managing wildlife, and developed revenue streams for biodiversity conservation organizations.
